Insight Global is seeking an Administrative Assistant for one of our legal clients in Jackson Heights, NY. Our client is a small law firm that provides a range of legal services to individuals and businesses. The administrative assistant will report to the sole practitioner of the firm. This role will be Monday through Friday, on-site, with flexible hours. This role can support full-time (40 hours) or part-time (20-30 hours) hours.
***This is a 3-week contract position with the potential to extend into a longer or permanent position***
Responsibilities include:
- General office management including answering phone calls, scheduling meetings and appointments, calendar management, etc.
- Producing and distributing memos, letters, faxes, and forms (utilize a photocopier)
- Creating and maintaining an organized filing system for documents, ensuring that files are correctly named, categorized, and archived
- Keeping track of supplies and placing orders with vendors when needed
- Assisting with data entry and documentation tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, or office manager
- Prior experience working in a law firm
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Highly organized and detail oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Legal degree or related work experience
- Legal Assistant / Paralegal experience OR a legal certification
- Bilingual in Spanish
